We have a lot to talk about at this GA. First and foremost, the Union-Management Committee's negotiations with the university are coming to a close and we need to be ready for the eventual referendum on whether to accept the negotiated settlement or file objections to the arbiter. The current U.S. administration is poised to overturn the National Labor Review Board ruling that allows us to legally form a union, so we might only get one chance to do this right!

The second order of business is member engagement! What can we do to expand our member engagement and get more people organizing than ever before? How will we get the requisite turnout for the referendum? What can we do right now to create more support for CGSU in our own departments? We'll be discussing this and more at the upcoming GA.

Finally, CGSU volunteers have been working diligently for over a year to plan a series to discuss the past, present, and future of CGSU, including our principles, goals, and methods of member engagement. We'll be hearing from the working group, meeting the facilitators, and gauging interest in these events.
